OK, it takes a while to learn & love a new place. It took almost a year (and a GPS) for me to make the switch from Montana driving to the Seattle multi-lane-heavy-traffic-in-the-rain. But at some point this summer with my almost 2-yr-old picking blackberries from the seat of my kayak I decided that this place might be alright. (Or rather, that I might be alright in this place.) Change keeps us flexible, but stretching can hurt. This fall with the help of a friend we discovered the Seattle Children's Theater and all six of us enjoyed a thouroughly entertaining show of Peter Pan (not the Disney version) this January. Afterwards the kids played in the enormous fountain outside that spurts water to classical music. It sounds a little cheesy, but it was wonderful fun on a beautiful mild day.
